Fleet and Lock Setup Tutorial

For this setup tutorial, you will need:
LINKA device, fully charged
Login credentials to the Operator App (provided by LINKA)
A mobile phone (Android or iOS), with internet access
Access to a web browser on a computer
All fleets are registered by LINKA on initial set-up. Account representatives will gather the following information prior to registration:
Fleet Name
Home Location
Account representatives will send an email with login credentials to the Operator app.
Locks are added to the Fleet with the Operator App. To start, download "LINKA Operator" from the or .
Login to the Operator app using the credentials provided from LINKA. Then select your fleet name.
Press the left menu, and press "Add Locks". Press “Scan” and press the power button on the LINKA device to wake it up. If the LED on the LINKA device is blinking blue or blinking red, then it is broadcasting. All locks that are awake and not yet registered to an account will be detected and shown.
Option 1: Select the correct Lock from the list by matching the serial numbers, and selecting the serial number from the list Option 2 (only for LEO 2): Press "Scan QR Code" to scan the serial number barcode on the back of lock When prompted, enter a unique 4-digit Bike Number for the Lock. Note: For more information on Bike numbers, see below.
Disabling QR code scan
Your fleet and locks are setup! In the next section, we will walkthrough how to start a rental using LINKA GO.

Each Bike/Lock in a Fleet will need a unique 4-digit Fleet Number. The system accepts Bike Numbers between 1000 and 9999. The 4-Digit Bike Numbers are used in combination with LINKA GO, to identify bikes and unlock them. Bike numbers are assigned to a LINKA device during pairing with the Operator app, and they can can be changed afterwards in .
Depending on your fleet needs, you may want the user to scan a QR code to start their rental in LINKA GO. If a QR code is used, the QR code should be visible on the bike. The info represented by the QR code corresponds to the bike number, and is different for each lock. For example, the bike with the number assigned 3555 will have a QR code representing “3555”. Thus each bike will have a different QR code. To create a QR code, go to and enter the bike number to generate a QR code for that bike.
When renting and unlocking Bikes, Users may either by scanning a QR code or by typing in the four digits manually. Optionally, the QR code scan functionality in LINKA GO can be disabled, and users will enter the 4-digit number to start their rental. This functionality can be changed in Settings Page.
Now that your lock is paired up, open Fleetview on a web browser at . Then, login using the same credentials as for the Operator app. Your fleet will require the following customizations:
. The Geoblock is an area where users can end rentals, and will be indicated in the LINKA GO app
- Change the fleet name, colors, logo and support emails
- Adjust the siren tones, the sleep timer, and the cellular modes (LEO 2 only)
- Grant permissions to additional Fleetview users, setup billing, and change alert/notification emails
(optional) - Connect your Stripe account to enable credit card payments on LINKA GO. When a fleet is first created, payments functionality is disabled, and users can use LINKA GO without adding any payment information.
