i. Reporting a maintenance issue

While on rental, a user can open the maintenance page (1) and report a maintenance issue. After a bike is put into maintenance mode, an email is sent immediately to the fleet operations personnel. The maintenance ticket will show up on Fleetview and the Operator app.

Lock in Maintenance Mode

If a bike is currently in maintenance mode, the app will not allow users to start a rental for that bike. The app will inform the user that the bike is in maintenance mode, and ask the user to rent another bike. To allow the bike to be rented again, the maintenance ticket should be resolved in Fleetview or in the Operator app.

By default, starting a rental is not allowed if a bike is in maintenance mode. However an optional configuration is to allow bikes to be rented even while they are in maintenance mode. This configuration can be enabled in Fleetview.
