Registration and Login
i. Location Permissions
Once downloaded the app will ask the users to grant location permissions:
ii. Walkthrough Tutorial
Once location permissions are granted, the user will see the following tutorial screens. Press “Next” (1) and then “Done” (2) to complete the tutorial.
iii. Select Bikeshare Fleet
The user will be prompted to select a fleet (1)
By default, all the fleets within 50 km of the user’s location will be displayed. This is referred to as the “Home Location” of the bike share. For example, if the user is currently in New York City, all the fleets with a Home Location within 50 km of New York City will be displayed in the LINKA GO app.
Your fleet’s Home Location is set when your fleet is first created. To change the Home Location of your fleet, contact your LINKA Fleets representative.
If the user does not see your fleet show up, they can press the “Choose Location” (2) button. Then the user can enter a different location, and then the app will refresh the list of closest fleets based on the new location selected. For example, if the user is in New York city, but would like to access a fleet based in Los Angeles, they can enter “Los Angeles” in the LINKA GO app to select the fleet located in the Los Angeles area.
After a fleet is selected, the user will need to accept your fleet’s service agreement. This agreement can be customized based on your needs.
iv. Registration
Once the user has selected their fleet, they will be prompted to register for a LINKA GO account. Registration can be done by using an email and password, or using the user’s Facebook account. On users with iPhones, there is also the option of using Sign In With Apple.
Registration with Email and Password
If the user selects the option to user Email and Password, they will be prompted to enter the following fields:
Name
Email
Password
Phone Number
Then the user will receive an verification email to ensure their email address is valid. Once the user has verified their email address, they can return to the LINKA GO app to login.
v. Login
If the user chose to register using an email and password, they can proceed to login using the same email and password.
Resetting password
To reset the password in the LINKA GO app, the user can press on the “Forgot Password?” button in the Login page. Then the user will be prompted to enter their email address. Then the user will receive an email with a reset code. The user will enter this reset code in the app along with their new password.
