The LINKA SmartMotion Key, is a Bluetooth enabled proximity key with an internal battery (2-5 year life) which allows Users to press the LEO 2 Control Button to unlock with presence of the authenticated smart phone. This provides great convenience for frequent users.
Each SmartMotion Key is paired with a particular Lock in the LINKA App using the QR code on the SmartMotion Key.
The SmartMotion Key has a built in motion sensor and is only active and broadcasting when in motion. This can be while in your bag, pocket, purse or in hand. When the key is not moving for 30 seconds, it will automatically stop broadcasting. This feature yields significantly higher battery life (2-5 years) and added security attack defense while not compromising experience and convenience.
Low Battery Alert: When your SmartMotion Key battery reaches 10% of full capacity, the LINKA app will send you a notification to replace the battery.
In the LINKA App, select the "settings" icon
Press on the "SmartMotion Key" row
You will be prompted to provide access to your camera, accept
Present the SmartMotion Key displaying the QR code in front of the camera
Within a few seconds, the SmartMotion Key will be paired successfully
To Unpair a SmartMotion Key from a Lock:
In Fleetview: Go to Bicycle > Bicycle Summary > Remote Commands > Un-pair.
On the Operator App: With the Operator App connected to a Lock, click the Settings icon . Click on the SmartMotion Key menu option. Un-pair a paired SmartMotion Key.
Low batteries will be detected in the system and generate alerts in the Operator App and FleetView. Battery life 2-5 years.
To replace the internal CR2032 battery: pry open the lid by wedging a screwdriver into the slot on the side of the Key. Lift out the battery and replace.
If your SmartMotion Key is lost, press "Mark as Lost" underneath the "settings" page of the LINKA app.
The optimal working range for the SmartMotion Key to the LEO 2 device is 1 meter. This ensures unwanted unlocks are thwarted as the lock will only unlock when you press the LEO 2 control button.
We recommend purchasing a new and following the pairing process once received and you are good to go!
