There are two ports on the LEO 2 and LEO 2 Pro device that allow you to charge the lock.
Use a USB charger (5v, 1Amp) with the magnetic USB charging cable (supplied) to charge batteries. This is ideal for quick charging and best for when the bike is stored indoors and near a electrical wall outlet. It's also possible to use a portable power bank to recharge the LEO 2 lock battery.
The time to fully charge from 0% is approximately 3 hours. The device should only be charged in temperatures above 0°C.
Locks with a semi-permanent connection to a , on an e-bike through an alternative 5V accessory line (such as a head light or tail light splitter), or to an e-bike battery pack, should maintain a charge via that connection. This provides a benefit in that the lock can maintain a near-full charge at all times
Semi-permanent connections are made via the HV M8 Weatherproof Cable connector Cables are available to length from LINKA.
When connected, LINKA Locks are able to detect changes in the output voltage from the eBike battery and determine the level (charge) which data can be sent to Fleetview. The acceptable input voltage range is between 5 to 55 volts. This includes most E-bikes which are 36V or 48V.
