Mounting Info

Bicycle frames already fitted with Lock Installation points on the rear seat stays allow for easy installation using the 8mm bolts and nylon washers supplied.

Some Manufacturers use slightly different screw and thread sizes for this mounting point. Verify you have the correct screws before proceeding.

Frames without existing provision for a rear wheel lock will require installation using the stainless steel Zip Ties supplied by LINKA.

Installation:

  1. Open the Lock and align to the frame, centered with adequate clearance between the shank and the inside of the wheel rim (1/4” 5cm). This may require closing the Lock in position to verify a correct positioning.

  2. Once in place, firmly attach the Lock either with the bolts supplied, one on each side as shown, or, on frames without threaded mounting points provided, use the LINKA Zip Ties (2 each side) as shown in the illustrations. • When bolting directly to the frame, select appropriate mounting holes on the Lock. • When using the Zip Ties, carefully adjust the position of the Lock on the frame before final tightening.

Allow for a minimum clearance of at least 1⁄4”or 5mm between the Lock shank and the inside of the wheel rim.
