Cellular and GPS Introduction
This page describes LEO 2 features available for LINKA Fleets. For personal use, visit our website for information regrading cellular functionality
LEO 2 Pro is a smart bicycle lock with built-in cellular and GPS tracking capabilities. The following are a short description of the features:
Tamper Alerts and Live Theft Tracking
When a bike is locked and motion is detected, this may indicate a tamper event. Using the cellular functionality, the lock will be able to alert the user or the fleet operator of the motion. As cellular functionality is used, the user can be alerted even if they are not nearby to the bike.
If the bike is locked and it is moved to a new location, the lock will also be able to identify its location and send location details to the user. The location details can be sent while the bike is in motion and continue to be updated until the movement completely stops. This would provide users with the ability to see the live location of a bike while it is in motion.
Location Updates - Starting and Ending Trips
The lock will send location updates to the user every time it is locked or unlocked. When a user unlocks a bike, the location update allows the user to view the location that they started their trip. When a user locks a bike, the location update allows the user to identify where their trip ended. This will also give the user a record of a bike’s location while it is locked.
Location Updates - Periodic
The lock can send updates of its location to the user or the fleet operator on a periodic basis. This can ensure that the user has up to date information about the location of their bike.
Ride Tracking
When a bike is unlocked, the lock will send a location update. The location updates will continue while the bike is unlocked and in motion. This will allow the user to view the route taken during their ride.
Remote Control
Various functions of the lock can be controlled remotely, regardless of whether a user is present at the bike. Some of the functions allowed include:
Remotely locking a bike
Remotely unlocking a bike
Remotely activating the siren on the lock
Cellular Functionality
The following versions of LEO 2 Pro are available:

Cellular functionality enabled within North America
International - LK-B125

Both versions connect to 4G / LTE networks. To allow for cellular functionality, the lock has a built-in cellular modem and a multiband LTE antenna.

The LEO 2 comes with a built-in SIM card. This SIM allows the LEO to connect to multiple cellular networks across various countries.
