This page describes LEO 2 features available for LINKA Fleets. For personal use, visit our for information regrading cellular functionality
Cellular configuration can be set on Fleetview, under the “System Settings” page:
Fleet Mode - Performance and Essentials
Connection Start Time and Connection End Time - This configuration is adjustable only when HIGH is selected
Ride Tracking - ON or OFF
When the cellular configuration is changed, the new configuration will need to be saved into the device. This process can take place via Bluetooth using the mobile apps:
After a configuration is changed, it will be automatically saved into the lock by the Operator app after it connects to the lock. Once all the settings have been updated, the “SYNC” icon will appear in the Operator app.
Alternatively, the new configurations will automatically be updated in either LINKA GO and the Merchant SDK during locking and unlocking.
Are you planning to use LINKA GO or the Merchant SDK? Both LINKA GO and the SDK unlock the bikes through bluetooth. They do not require the lock to be connected to the cellular network to unlock. If this is the case, then you can select MID Power Mode. On the other hand, if users will be unlocking the bikes using a Website or Web-app, then these platforms do not provide bluetooth functionality. Bikes would need to be unlocked via cellular, and this would require the HIGH Power Mode.
Is the LEO 2 wired and connected to the E-bike? Or can your LEO 2 be charged through a solar panel? If the locks are not wired to a solar panel or E-bike, then the Performance or Premium Power Mode should not be selected.
Does your fleet require ride tracking? Allowing ride tracking will show where the user is riding a bike. However this will increase the power consumption of the device.
Is there a chance that users will forget to lock up the bike? If this is the case, then the auto-lock feature can be enabled. This will allow the bikes to lock up automatically when they are not in use.
Is it acceptable for the user to press the power button on the lock? When the locks are asleep, they can be woken up by pressing the power button on the lock. Alternatively the locks can be woken up with the accelerometer by shaking them. Both of these steps will involve user interaction. Alternatively the sleep timer can be adjusted to keep the locks awake at all times. Since the locks would be awake, users do not need to press the power button on the lock. However the battery consumption of the device would increase, and the lock would need to be charged more often.
Do you want the siren enabled when locked? When this configuration is enabled, the siren will automatically turn on when the LEO 2 is locked, and detects movement. However this may also cause the siren to turn on in the wrong situation, such as when a user is adjusting the position of the bike slightly, or when the bike is locked and on public transport. Note that cellular Tamper Alerts and GPS Theft Tracking will still be enabled regardless of the audio configuration. For example, if the siren is disabled, the lock will still send a cellular Tamper Alert when it is locked and moved, even though the siren does not turn on. After the user receives the Tamper Alert, they will be able to put the bike into Recovery Mode, and turn on the siren manually using a Remote Command, regardless of the audio configuration selected.
