Here are some examples of how LINKA fleets can be used in different scenarios.
In this use case, a public bike share fleet is set up in a mid-sized city with 3 million people. 80 designated stations are located around a city, and each station has a number of Tethersense chains connected to a bicycle rack. The bikes have LEO 2 installed, and are locked to the bike rack using the Tethersense chain.
Users who download the LINKA GO app can enter credit card information into the app, and then start a rental to unlock the bikes. They can ride the bikes to another designated station where they can lock up the bikes using the Tethersense chain.
In this use case, employees working in a suburban corporate campus. Employees use bikes to travel between buildings on the campus. LEO 2 are installed on each bike, and they remain locked when they are not being used.
Access to the LINKA GO app is restricted to employees, who can download the app and then unlock the bikes to start a rental. Once they are finished with their rental, the employee can leave the bike and walk away. Then the LEO 2 will automatically lock after 3 minutes, and end the rental.
In this use case, bikes are locked to a bike rack outside a hotel. Each bike has a Original LINKA installed, and a chain is provided with each bike, allowing it to be secured to the bike rack.
Users can download LINKA GO, enter their credit card information and unlock the bikes to start a rental. Users can also rent multiple bikes at a time, if they are part of a group. Users would normally rent a bike for multiple hours, or an entire day.
Once a rental has started, users can ride the bike to various locations around the city. If users need to lock up the bike during their rental, they can pause their ride in LINKA GO. When the user is finished with their rental, they must lock up the bike at the same place they started their rental. Using the Geoblock feature, the LINKA GO app will verify the user’s location before allowing them to end their rental.
In this use case, a bike shop leases a fleet of E-bikes with LEO 2 installed on each bike. Users can lease a bike for multiple weeks or months.
After the bike is provided to the user by the bike shop employee, users can download the LINKA GO app to start the lease. While on their lease, users can lock and unlock the LEO 2 using LINKA GO. Users are also provided with a Smart Fob, which allows the user to lock and unlock the LEO 2 without access to their mobile phone.
When the user is finished with their lease, they can return the bike to the bike shop. Then the bike shop employee can end the rental on Fleetview.
